Employe Portal dows not want to work with Share Point

Hello,
I have a strange problem installing Employee Portal.
If I install Employee portal from CD then on a previous working Share Point site I get the error ERROR: Required Permission cannot be aquired
If I repair Share Point then the webparts installed are reported as unsafe and are not working.
Is there any way to troubleshoot the situation ?
