Hello,

in the manual of Installation and Configuration in Microsoft Dynamics NAV
[5.0] - Chapter 8: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Database Administration there is
written about a table called

User Group that defines User Group the user groups that you want in your
system

near/connected to table Permission, User, Member Of

but in NAV 5.0 and also 4.0 sp3 I don't find this table but only the table

'User Role' - 2000000004

is that the same?
In previous versions was it called User Groups?

Thank yu

In older versions it was called User Groups.

The table "Member Of" is used to connect user roles to DB-logins.
the table "Windows Access Control" is used to connect user roles to Windows-logins.

But do not forget that now user can be member of more Windows Groups and each group can have assigned some roles... it is more complex than just DB Users...
