Exactly duplicating a Option Field filter on a form

Hi All,

I just finished up modifying a form which contains a whole heap of fields used to filter a list (similar to form 7002 Sales Prices), and whilst for the most part i was able to mimic the functionality of a filter on fields on the form, i couldn't figure out how to do it for an Option type field.

Has anyone ever done this? Basically what I mean is have a field on a form look and work exactly the same as if you were to hit F7 on an option field. Basically i came unstuck trying to get the field to have both the filtering values (..|&<> etc.) AND be able to drop down.

Does anyone know if it's possible? I'm really only asking for interest sake, i don't NEED to do it that way, just i thought it would be handy to know if it could be done.

Hi Mark,

Yes this is possible - just create a variable as an option with the same option string and filter on that. Look at the standard Sales Prices (form 7002) for an example
