Adding New Fields to Vendor Table

ChessExpertChessExpert Member Posts: 103
Hello there Nav experts.

I was trying to add some new fields to Vendor Table but I was getting this error message. "Your program license does not permit you to create the "Custom_Field_x" field in the Vendor table.

We have a developers license, so I wonder why I am getting this error.

Can you suggest some workarounds that I can do so that I will be able to simulate new fields in Vendor table.

I was thinking of creating something like an extension table, e.g. Table#50023, with vendor number plus my additional fields. But I guess this would require a lot of programming just to simulate that as a normal vendor field.

Once again, thanks for good advises.

ChessExpert.

Modification to the system for adding fields are done in the 50K range.

So your object/field no has to be in 50000 range.

    Please read the developer manual.

Unfortunately these days, its pretty unlikely that a new developer will read the manuals. Easier is to try it out then post the error message on Mibuso. ](*,)
