Nav exe shuts down when changing companies

Hi Guys,

We are having issues when we try to change companies in version 5.0 SP1 and also in Version 4 SP3.

Some times when the user tries to change the company, the exe shuts down and they have to retsrt the Nav again. This occurs very frequently, if you have to work in multiple companies. Some of our clients have multiple companies and it is very frustating.

Did any one come across this scenario or have any suggestions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Vijay

Vijay

Try deleting the .zup file & check the folder permission where the .zup file resides in...
Also consider a re-install of the client & starting the client as the user (by assigning administrator rights to the user & subsequently removing it after testing the client)

    Thanks for the reply...

The user is an System Administrator. Also, tried deleting the zup file etc, but to no use.

Also, we get the following message -

"The Property Exceeds the Buffer Size."

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks...

Could it be possible that you have an unusual lenght in a company name? or an unusual number of companies?

turn on the debugger and see where it stops.
you could have some code in CU1 that is misbehaving.
