Serial Com Port connection

I try to establish a connection to the serial port. I don't know what to do, so I used the search function. But now I am more confussed than before. I found this topic http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22998&highlight=com+port.
I wonder where can I find mscomm32.ocx or nfcomm.ocx? Can I use both in NAV? Do I have to create a variable with type OCX?

And what about the license problem discussed here http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7762&highlight=com+port?

I am very new to this com port issue, so please apologize my noob questions. :wink:

    No one out there who could explain a little bit?

    I found both ocx via google and I already created a little test solution. It works. :D But I'm still afraid of doing something that would infringe some license agreement.

    can't you use NAV COM COM automation to communication to a serial port?
