Can't write date/time values via ODBC

I'm using ODBC from Lotus Notes trying to set a date and a time value with the record below. Other records a working well. Does anyone have an answer for my problem?
UPDATE Tab01 SET MyTime='12:12:00' WHERE Adrnr='12345'
or
UPDATE Tab01 SET MyDate="12.12.2004' WHERE Adrnr='12345'
I also tried date with "." and with "/", time value with and without datevalue. No chance.
Errormessage: Invalid operand for operator <assignment> 720 LS:DO- ODBC could not complete the requested operation.
UPDATE Tab01 SET MyTime='12:12:00' WHERE Adrnr='12345'
or
UPDATE Tab01 SET MyDate="12.12.2004' WHERE Adrnr='12345'
I also tried date with "." and with "/", time value with and without datevalue. No chance.
