How can define secondary output (Which produced in Finish good processing).
Can i define its in BOM or Not?
How can reporting of Produced Qty of Secondary output against work order?
If we define in -ve Qty for Secondry output in BOM,then its entry type is consumtion in item leadger enrty.
While its Output ..so its entry type should be output.
how come u can have it as output when the qty is -ve ? -ve means taking the item out of iventory which is in any case consumption always.
And the term which u said "secondary output" is actually sub-assembly
Means to make Item A :
u produce first and consume item B (Secondary Item) and for producing Item B Item u r consuming C and D
So B here will be urs secondary output which will be later consumed as raw material / component for producing A. In this case the secondary out put later will be consumed for primary item. So entry in sequence will be
1. Consumption of C and D
2. Output of B (+ve)
3. Consumption of B (-ve) and
4. Output of A
OR
U mean by secondary output as the items which are coming out as part of process. Means they were not intended to produce and u didn't plan keeping them in consideration. As it goes normally in Oil industry.
But ,In either of the cases u will not record "output" as -ve quantity. Until and unless u find that output recorded is wrong and u want to make adjustments.
Flagging it as "consumption" is not really relevant, it gets it into stock - this is considered a work around, so live with it being called "consumption" otherwise modify the system to do what you want or buy an accredited add-on that will serve your purpose.
The art of teaching is clarity and the art of learning is to listen
Comments
you intrduce the term WIP in Navision instead of producing the final product.
You creat a bom for WIP consuming the Raw Materials
Then creat a BOM consuming the WIP. to get the Finished Goods.
You have creat 2 seperate PO.
One for WIP & then FG.
