Hi folks,
I have a problem with one of my customers.
It is a production company for food.
Now if one customer orders 10 kilo of product A and 20 kilo of product B, and another customer orders 20 kilo of product A and 15 kilo of product B, and you want to plan production orders by "order planning", you will get 4 firm planned prod. orders, 1 for each cust. and product. My customer now wants to get one prod. order for each product, no matter for which customer. What do I have to do (e.g. item settings, manuf. setup etc.) to get the result I want? I don't think that this is such an unusual request !?!
Greetings
Dirk

I think u can create two production Order
1 for Product A ---30 kg,
2 for Product B ---35 kg .
that's exactly what i want, but how?
u have 2 customers so 4 sales order for 2 diff items totally
but u have as jasbir said item a has 30kg
item b has 35kg
so two production orders - for two customers for those two items
got it?
its simple as u like!!!!
u produce those items have it in inventory and post the 4 sales orders
cheers!!! \:D/

The order planning tool is a quick and easy planning tool that is used in a make to order environment. If you were to set the items up with reorder policies and apporpriate order modifiers if you were then to run teh planning worksheet your demand would be aggregated into one supply.
