Delete / Create Standard Objects

Hi everybody,

I just had quite a problem and have no idea on how to solve it in a 'clean' way.

I created a new posted Sales Invoice report (206) as a 50000 object and and then wanted to replace Navision's standard (206) with mine.

So, i did the following:
1) entered 206's design, and saved as 50206
2) deleted 206
3) tried to save my report as 206
error:
" You do not have permissions to create the 'Sales - Invoice' Report. Contact the system manager if you need to have your permissions changed "

4) tried to import but got same mistake;

5) I also went to the Tools-security-roles-permissions menu, tried to create a new permission to access object, but it wa impossible since there's no object anymore;

6) tried to create the object using object form...nothing...

this is very important and urgent...no invoices, no nothing...

Thanks in advance for all the help i can get,

michael

    Your license apparently does not allow you to replace the standard report.

    Why not simply go to Report Selections for S&R and change the report number for the sales invoice from 206 to 50206?

    Try to NOT delete report 206 and save your report 50206 as 206. Maybe it is possible.
    If not, export your report 50206 as text. Open the file in an editor and renumber your report to 206 in that textfile. Save it and import it. It will replace your report 206.

    Yes, that's right. But it doesn't make no sense to replace a standard object. Karenh's way is a much better solution and it's the normal way to use an individual report instead of the standard report.

    Hi all,

    and thanks for your help.

    This problem was fortunately solved and I would like to recommend my first post on How-Not-To solve a question like this.

    You were right when you said that i should not have deleted 206...

    now, here's the solution:

    still, after a good night of sleep all my ](*,) faded and i kept it simple...

    i was trying to import a txt all the time...
    so i thought 'what the hack'... entered a cronus, exported 206 as a .fob, and imported to my database...

    no problem whatsoever. It existed again, in table object as well, so i just renamed my new report (50000ish) to be 206 and all just works now.

    One more thing:
    the S.Invoice Value on table report selection automatically changed before, so i needed to force it to be 206 again.

    hope this can help people having the same problem,

    thanks for all your help,

    michael
