What is the Sales forecast . what is the production forecast .
In navision I found only the production forecast .
Here Product filter I found 3 . 1. sales item 2. component item 3. Both.

Please explain with suitable example to understand this easily ?


Please let me know how we can use these 3 fields

Sales Forecast: Determines how much to sale over a period of time.
Production Forecast: Determines how much to produce (On the basis of sales forecast or independently)

based on the sales forecast u enter in production forecast,

and based on this production 4 cast, u calculate the mps & mrp of that product in planning worksheets in planning table of maufacturing module.

based on this worksheets only planning dept. can carry out production & purchase orders , u got it?
