Hi ,
Is there any in chance in navision to happen this
Cost amount (actual)
not equal to
cost post to G/L in Value entry .
If yes please throw a good example.
I am very curiousity to know about this ?

lets tale a scenario
Automatic Cost posting is not selected on inventory posting.
1. Purch. Receipt is posted=> expected cost is generated
2. Purch. Inv. is posted=> actual cost is generated but not posted to G/L
3. Adjust Cost-Item Entries batch job and Post Inv Cost to G/L batch ran for per entry ran=>Cost posted to G/L field gets updated in value entry

Place a check mark in the Automatic Cost Posting field in Inventory Setup if you don't want to run the Post Cost to G/L batch Manually.

Example:-
Assume Purchase order qty 1 and cost is Rs.1000
When Posting the GRN the cost will shown in the cost amout expected field as Rs.1000
When posting the purchase invoice if you change the unit cost as 1500,then the cost will shown in the cost amount actual field amount as 1500.
In this case the value entry will differ from your expected cost.
