I don't know if you are asking for ways of integration with BizTalk OTHER than Commerce Gateway?
With Commerce Gateway, integration is done via the Navision Application Server (Messages passed from and to BizTalk goes through the Navision application server for various reasons) and the solution is totally integrated with the base application.
Navision has written their own AIC (Application Integration Component) that the Application server uses to communicate with BizTalk.
Check out the Commerce Gateway installation documentation that comes with the standard product CD.

I don't think though that CG is certified for Biztalk 2004 - I know for a fact that CG won't work with Windows 2003 Server yet....

Hi,
of course the buisness Connector is fully Certified with Attain 3.70 an Biztalk Server 2004
So there is no Problem with this !
Only a big new Problem about Attain 4.0 !!!
It is not compatible when you install 3.70 an 4.00 on the sam client Machine the connector on both 3.70 and 4.00 will not longer work...

Actually you need 3.70B before you can use BizTalk 2004. Prior to that you can only use BizTalk 2000 or 2002.
am not sure what happens if you install 3.70 and 4.00 on the same machine.

I realise this thread is a bit old now, but I am looking to integrate Navision 3.70B and Commerce Gateway with BizTalk 2004.
I have a pdf that highlights how to do this with BizTalk 2000 but does anyone have a document highlighting how to do this with BizTalk 2004?
Thanks,

the procedure for using Biztalk 2004 is the same then using biztalk 2000/2002 - you need to install NAS and Commerce Gateway
be sure to set "encryption" for Commercegateway.
in "Biztalk setup" within Navision you must set biztalk type to "Biztalk 2004".
you need to set Company ID's for the company and the partners ( and be sure to flag "Use Company ID".0 -
We have a unique situation in that we are using two separate NAV databases (3.7 and 4.0). We are currently using BT 2002 for NAV 3.7 in the production environment and would like to install NAV 4.0 using the same instance of BT 2002 and run both concurrently. Is it possible to have two versions of Commerce Gateway running at the same time both talking to the same BizTalk Server?0
