workcentre-Unit Cost Calculation

Hi experts,


In workcentre u have a field Unit Cost Calculation – This field is determined by selecting one of two options: time or units.

I set up units in workcentre .

But for some operations i want based on time .


for some operations i use time and rest of the operations with units with that workcentre.

so how it is possible ?

could anybody provide solution.

Work centre time is static, and not per operation. You chose one or the other, you cannot jump. The idea is if the work centre is a collection of machine resources it will be unit based, labour is time etc. If you need both then you need to split the same workcentre to accomodate both.

Hi,

If you choose the TIME in the work center,Then you can choose the work center for the time based job only.

For example :- for producing the 1 qty the machine is working for 30 mins.


If you choose the UNIT in the work center,Then you can choose the work center for the unit based job only.

Note :- If you choose as UNIT ,Then you have to check mark the specific unit cost field and the cost should define in the routing line (Rs 10)

For example:- for packing the 1 qty, the cost will be Rs 10.

But both the options,we cannot define in the single work center.

In this case you should create one more new work center.

Essentially you would have 2 work centres representing the one area, one for time, and one for units.
