Navigate showing unrelated records

I'm experiencing a situation where the Navigate is showing me a few records that do not pertain to my filter. Has anyone else ever seen this and if so, how do I correct it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

This is proably due to the fact that you are using the same numbering scheme for more than one type of document. The navigate function is not too smart, it just looks for instances of the document number that you enter.
So if you have sales order 12345, but also a purchase credit memo number 12345 and they are not related, then navigating on number 12345 will show you both of them.
Try setting up your numbering series with prefixes, like SO-12345, and PCM-12345.

To be more precise, when pushing navigate button from document both document no. and posting date are used as criteria.
In Navigate form you can make posting date empty and when searching again it will find some more entries...®obi
