Accordingly, we need to add xp_ndo.dll and a new group before using Windows authentication. My question is the server is using a named instance instead of default, will the same procedure (switching to the new named folder) still applied ?

Merci. Another question.
If the Navision is using the default instance of SQL. and now I have a new instance (SERVER003), how could I switch between them ? For the restoring of backup, do I have to restore the objects and data after, or sequence does not matter !? Merci beaucou !!!0 -
To use the named instance, you have to connect to using its name like "SERVER003\InstanceName".
If you have a full Navision-backup, you can restore objects, data common to all companies and company-data at the same moment but in this case you must have a virgin database.
Otherwise, it is best to restore (or import) first the objects and then restore the data (but I also did the reverse).Regards,Alain Krikilion
