Accordingly, we need to add xp_ndo.dll and a new group before using Windows authentication. My question is the server is using a named instance instead of default, will the same procedure (switching to the new named folder) still applied ?
Merci. Another question.
If the Navision is using the default instance of SQL. and now I have a new instance (SERVER003), how could I switch between them ? For the restoring of backup, do I have to restore the objects and data after, or sequence does not matter !? Merci beaucou !!!
To use the named instance, you have to connect to using its name like "SERVER003\InstanceName".
If you have a full Navision-backup, you can restore objects, data common to all companies and company-data at the same moment but in this case you must have a virgin database.
Otherwise, it is best to restore (or import) first the objects and then restore the data (but I also did the reverse).

Yes, it still applies.
