I am using Navision 3.7 and can't change the color of the background (in order to do shading) on any form. When I choose grey color (click background) and make sure foreground is a different color I still get a white background and black text.
Can anyone tell me how to change the background color for a form (ie Invoice, Packing List, etc..)?
Thanks!

Can you just clarify the following?
When you say "form" do you mean the Navision screen design or a printed document output?
If you mean a printed document report, the straight answer is that you cannot - Navision just does not do it. the option is there, but it does not work. The official explanation is that colours are for the screen layout design (Forms) not reports (All printed documents/Invoices etc).
A screen design you can change (Provided you have the form designer granule).
NB It is a good idea to use the Navision terminology as these are the terms used in forums like these.

This has been an on going problem for me. I never understood why navision wouldn't print the background shades directly from the report.
Has anyone had luck using bitmaps with different shapes other than a straight line?
Do most companies use preprinted forms? Or is there some 3rd party software out there that can print much nicer looking reports?
