Strange behaviour of slow form

Hi There
Strange things happens in the nav-world - we have a subform - which displays a table with 65k records - it performs very very bad when browsing and sorting - however if i use Ctrl+F2 on the form ...close it without doing any modification and browse the still open form - it performs as lightning - this is very very very odd i think - anybody have any suggestions to why and hopefully a solution
