NAV Unicode text files

Hi there,

Is there any way in Navision, for me to manipulate text files in unicode format?

The only thing i can do at the moment is work with a simple text file with the object "File".
file.OPEN
file.WRITE

The problem is that my source file is in unicode format and i cant get its contents right.

Someone could help?

I don't think there is an easy way.

I suggest to create a .NET dll file.

Just realized that if you export data using a XMLPort the unicode characters are exported too so maybe you can look at exporting a XMLPort and then using the file functions you can remove the unwanted tags.
