Hi all,
I have a FBK file from my Sql database at office.
Now I wold like to import it in a new, blank, just created Local Database.
Everything is ok but, at the end of the importing procedure Navision says:
Object name already exists.
But the Database was blank!!!
After that the import stops... The new DB works well but is missing some functions... because some tables don't work well...
I'm nearly a Navision Newbie...
Could someone kindly explain me what's happening?
Thanks in Advance!

Try to find out which objectname exists twice and rename one of them.
Can it be that the client version you are using to restore the database is different than the one you used to create the backup?

Thank you very much for your prompt reply!
I imagined that this error shows a duplicate objeect name...
but... WHERE???
I restored the backup in a blank, new DB.
The client version is always 3.70... the original DB is SQL...
you said:
BUT... where I have to search?
On the original DB... but how can be that there always is working?
Thanks a lot!

on the navision installation cd is a upgrade toolkit directory. In this you should find a import that checks on duplicate names.

Thank you very much... I'll give a look to this utility...
Do you think is a possible Case-Sensitive problem?
I'll do some tests to find out more...
Meanwhile... If you (someone else here) have other suggestions.. Please tell me!

Thanks a lot for your help...
I tried everything... NOTHING!
The problem is that the Navision says that an object with the same name exists already. But it's not true...
In detail Nav says:
Existing Object: Table 7354
New Object: Table 5400
But, in my original DB there isn't any table 5400!!! Nor in the FBK file!!!
It's a problem because the restoring process hangs up!
Any other idea???
Thanks in advance!!!

In 3.60 this table was at No. 5400
In 3.70 functionality has changed a lot around Warehouse Management part and Bin table has moved to 7354.
Which versions are you using to connect to server and which localy ?
Also consider this. After creating new db. be sure to go directly to tools/restore...
if restore isn't sucesfull this dosn't mean that db is left blank... so at next try delete this db first and create fresh one...
