Hi Nav Guys,
Im posting one line of Subcontracting Order with 85 components.
When i do post, it transfers all items from vendor location.
Customer is machine manufacturing company. They do subcontract assembly of machine. so more than 100 lines in a order is regular proceess for them.
They guys laugh by saying that "we do get many breaks after starting navision"
when i noticed then it required 24 minutes to post one order with 85 components.
Is this Okay? or should i do anything?
Note: Automatic Cost Posting is FALSE and No issue in Hardware, SQL, RAID, Software configuration.

Are you sure?
What about database maintenance? Like index rebuild/reorg and statistics rebuild.
How do i search time above 1000ms? Client monitor only shows the TIME not duration. Please let me know, if there is any way.
BBrown,
would you please guid me about the steps to rebuid index???
I would be very thankful to you.
Client is currently using 4.0 SP3. Codeunit 22 'ItemJnl Post' is called for all lines (no. of lines in order).
I noticed that it takes 25-27 second to post a single line.
When i compared codeunit22 of Nav4.0 & Nav5.0, i noticed that FINDFIRST(from Nav4.0) is replaced by FINDSET(in Nav5.0). Should i change in Nav4.0??? :-k

After stopping the client monitor, launch form 150020. This will import the client monitor data in a readable form. On this you can easily filter.

I found that default value in File->Database->Alter->Advance->Record Set is 500.
When i changed this to 100000(max value), my process has been speed up by 40-50%. would u believe?
Record Set: 500
14:20 min checking 736 lines & posted 173 lines.
Record Set: 100000
6:30 min checking 736 lines & posted 173 lines.
