Sales Price Lookups Disabled

Hi,
I have a potential customer where the customer sales prices for items do not appear to be being looked up when raising invoices/orders etc. - the "Unit Price" from the item card is used every time instead. The customer's price has been entered correctly against the item number using the appropriate currency, unit of measure and min quantity but the price is just never used. The start/end dates are blank. In the invoice/order screen the 'Sales Prices' in the Item Information infopane shows 0.
Is there somewhere in the system that 'disables' the sales prices feature? I can't think of anything. I don't have any developer access to the system to investigate the problem further.
Any help appreciated,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan
These are the usual causes. The customer's price has been entered correctly against the item number using the appropriate currency, unit of measure and min quantity but the price is just never used. The start/end dates are blank.
Some Suggestions:
Have you Variants?
Do you have an "All customer" price book setup?
Do you have an active campaign?
PS what version are you using?0 -
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Variants - Not used
'All Customer' price group - Not setup
Campaigns - Not used
Navision version IT 4.01 (Italy) on C/SIDE database.
I think I need to ask the current developers if any mods have been made here but wanted to make sure there was no 'out of the box' reason first.

We have items thay have multiple prices "Price Groups"
Item XYZ...
group a=$100
group b=$101
group c=$102
Then we assign the customer what Price Group they will be apart of on the customer card.
I know all our prices have start dates. If the order is before the start date then no price shows up.0 -
Again, we are not using item price groups.
Have also tried entering a start date, the customer price is still ignored.

Hi Jonathan
While making a sale order, the system picks up the Unit Price as defined on the Item Card by default. But the minute you enter the amount in the 'Quantity' field the Price as defined in the Sale Price for the particular Customer Price Group gets updated.
So are you continuing to see the incorrect price even after you enter the quantity to be sold field?0 -
Hi,
Yes already checked this - the price is incorrect before and after entering the quantity.0 -
What if you don't enter a price on the item card?0

Are the unit price on the Item Card lower than the special prices set? Remember that Navision will use the best sales price that the customer is qualified on the sales lines.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

This is not true.
The price change based on quantity entered only happens when you only set Minimum Quantity on your sales price setup.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Sorry for the SPAM, but you also want to make sure that the Unit of Measure matches up. The UOM can be left blank on the sales price table.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Hi,
Yes checked min quantity, UOM, currency code, dates etc. and the customer price is lower than on the item card price. The frustrating thing is if I had access to the object designer I could find the issue in 5 mins but I don't. Have advised the end user they will need to go back to their partner to review if they have had code changes made. (my firm is their accountants but not their Navision partner).
Thanks for all the help.
