How to import an image into a blob

How do I go about importing an image into a blob?
bostjanl kindly described a means of using a blob on a report http://www.mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=122938 which I want to make use of.

I've just come back to this problem and have not been able to work out the initial part of importing an image into a field.

if you will knwo, how to import a *.bmp (navision can per dafault only view bmp), take a look in Form Item Picture. (Item card -> Item -> Picture)
