Quote or Order to a Contact (not yet a customer)

Hi,

I've a problem with quote and/or order to place for someone who is a contact (prospect/suspect) and not yet a Customer.

Tell me if I've wrong but standard Nav only allow to place order or quote on a Customer (with or without contact card) but not on a contact without customer card created before.

If someone have the same problem or solved the same problem, let me know please.

    Depending on your version you should be able to use Customer Templates to create a sales quote.

    You do need a Customer to create an order.

    this is correct.so you have to add that on your customer's card.

    so I could only do business with a customer, and nothing regarding prospect that ask me an offer to become maybe a customer, very strange but so.

    You can create a sales quote without having a Customer record.

    But you need to set up a Customer Template to do it.
