Upgrade 5.0 to 5.0 SP1

Do I need the upgradetoolkit to upgrade from version 5.0 to 5.0SP1?

There seems to be no documentation about it and there is not a fob for it in te data conversion tools folder.

Have you already seen the 5.0Sp1 Upgrade Toolkit?
I didn't download it yet, so I don't know if this is what you need... .

You don't need the upgrade toolkit. You can export the objects out of 5.0 sp1 database and import/merge them into your db if you have modifications.

The upgrade toolkit does have the fob already so I would download it and get the fob.

    Hi,
after all the upgrade process, I got all upgraded objects.

Imported the objects in the 5.0 DB, but the version in '?'->'About...' remains as 5.0.

I guess the upgrade must be ok if the merge is ok, isn't?

    Did I missed any step?

    Thanks

Look at codeunit 1 in the function "ApplicationVersion".
    What does it say?

    'ES Dynamics NAV 5.0' :?

All I say is that your "about" is just displaying what is in that function. If you put "SP1" in that function, it will display SP1. So, the "About" is not really something you want to base yourself on... .

    really?! great! thanks!
I don't care, but the customer maybe... :?

LOL, maybe I just exported the wrong codeunits from the merge ](*,)

If the version number didn't come over, that means that either the merge was not complete, or the new version was not updated in the standard NAV object. I'd be worried if it were the first one :-k

I was thinking the same ... that's why I said that I was only referring to it's functionality. The fact that it wasn't merged is something to be concerned about indeed.

    dpardom, how did you merge?

    With the developer toolkit

There is no doubt, the merge was ok. (all the ok it can be with the dev.toolkit)

For sure I exported the wrong version for the codeunits, when exporting there is a combobox where you must select the version to export from, is easy to forget it

    Thanks :D

That is true  Good work catching the error, that is often the biggest job.
