Service Management in Dynamics CRM

A prospective client wants to implement a system which caters for customer service. The client deals in sales and repairs of computer equipment and accessories. They want to maintain a follow up on items sent for repairs to their workshop department.

They need a customer service system which caters for the above.

They do not want to implement Sales Management and Marketing Automation module.

Does the MS Dynamics CRM Service management module fit for this business?

Has anyone ever implemented only the Service Management module for Dynamics CRM?
