Hi guys, has onyone maybe done a modification that would allow applying bank account ledger entries the same way as customer and vendor ledger entries. If yes, would you be so kind to share your experience. Thanks in advance.
The application in the bank ledger is done through the Bank Reconciliations. Essentially, you apply the bank statement to the bank ledger to close it out.
Thanks for reply. I konw bank reconcilations, however that isn't what we need. Bank reconcilation doesn't post any new entry to bank account ledger entry, it is usefull just to connect the entries you already posted via invoices, journals etc. to bank statements. Since bank account can be both debited and credited, we would like to know which positive entry applies to which negative entry of the bank account, just like customer and vendor ledger entries work. Has anyone had similar issue? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, what is the requirement? If it is related to reconciling the funds received and payments made from a specific source, (As may be in the case of accounting for different projects) to derive at the net inflow/outflow of funds from specific source, you can use dimensions.
