Currently I am moving my customer db( Nav 3.7) to Nav4.0 SP3.
I have faced some problems with the Table G/L Entry.
Nav3.7 G/l Entry table contains some fields like

Field ID Field Name
13707 Amount Including Excise
13708 TDS Nature of Deduction
13709 TDS Assessee Code
13710 Party Type
13711 Party
16354 Cheque Date
16355 Issuing Bank
16356 Month
16357 Year
16372 Cheque No.
16373 DDB No.

Those fields are missing in my Updated DB (Nav 4.0 SP3 HF6).
Please suggest me how to solve this kind of problems.

Looks to me that you should read the manual from the upgrade toolkit.

This will exactly explain how to upgrade a database step by step.

And be carefull with update 6 since it enables index hinting and causes all kinds of unexpected blocks.

It is better to use the latest build instead.

If I move these fields into 50000 No. Series and customize the existing Code if any than ..... ](*,) I think it will work.

So did you read the upgrade toolkit? Any reason why you are not using it?

First of all.... After not posting in this thread for about 10 days, it is not very polite to come back, and get impatient when you don't get an answer within a couple of hours. Be aware that this is an international community, and that there are different time zones around the world. I just got out of bed, I haven't even made any coffee, I was sleeping when you posted this. You won't make any friends if you continue like that.

Second.... We are talking about the UPGRADE toolkit, not the developer toolkit. If you don't know anything about either one, you need to get a senior person involved. This is what is wrong with many NAV partners who put their most junior people on upgrades without guidance. Upgrading NAV is a specialization, something that needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing.

Get some help from a more senior person, and let them show you how to do it. Mibuso is not your training center.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been ill, I hope you will get better soon.

My advice still stands though, and it is still not very polite to demand a reply.
