Launching NAV automatically upon login to Terminal Services

Has anyone had success with making NAV automatically launch upon RDP login?

The ultimate goal is to make this work on a handheld running CE accessing a Terminal Services Session.

Put a shortcut to NAV in the startup menu?

You will need to define it on the Exchange under User Accounts properties. You can define under environment tab which application to start automaticatically when user log on terminal server

u can use a shortcut to Windows menu Startup or you make a registy entry to start the nas when a specific user is loged on.
Do you make it right, it works too!

Of course setting this up under the user account is preferred over any other method.

This can be handled with a group policy under Directory Services. Create a seperate DS container for your handheld users and assign a group policy that specifies NAV as the startup application.

Thank you all for the suggestions. This will give us a nice starting point to do some trials from.

What tgupta suggested is we use for moer than 2 years now.
Do it and it is the easiest way. When they exit NAV they will also logged off automatically.

    Put [SOLVED], if satisfied ;-)

Using group policy provides a single maintenance point. Setting it on the user account means you need to update each user if something changes. Not bad if you only have a few users, but consider a site with dozens of users.
