When a production database is recreated (for example due to a emergency restore or due to a technical upgrade using restore) the users zup file is reset.
Does somebody know why?
The simple answer is "because it is programmed in this way". Each time some stamp in the DB changes (e.g. when you change the object, database etc.), the data stored in ZUP for this object/db are invalidated and are not used. If you travel back through time by restoring the DB, it has same effect...
