Multiple backup files

Hello

Sometimes , I am receiving the Navision Database backup from the client with multiple .bak files. While restoring the database backup , I am first selecting the first .bak file , then It is automatically taking all other files.

My question is , While taking the backup, will navision automatically splits the total backup file into different parts. OR Do we need to mention different .bak files.

If we need to mention different .bak file, will navision prompt us to mention Or is it the primary setup while taking the backup

Thanks and Regards
Ajay

IF Navision needs multiple backup-files, it will take of that when needed.

BUT it is necessary that the name of the backup-file finishes with a number.
Navision automatically increases that number. And if there isn't a number, Navision gives an error after creating a file of 2GB and you can restart your backup.

Yes if I name the Backup

MyBackup1 and if it needs another file the next file will automatically be
    MyBackup2

    and

    MyBackup3
    MyBackup4
    etc..

    until it's finished
