F8 giving me a headache

Why is it always the simple problems that give you the most grief?

When entering sales lines, the F8 function works sporadically. I have dimension fields brought forward onto the sales line form, which will not copy from above, unless you revisit the field.

So entering an order in the left to right sequence of fields does not allow me to use F8 for these dimension fields, but if I move off the line and then back into the the field I can then successfully use F8.

Any thoughts anyone?

The sales line needs to be inserted in order for F8 on dimensions.
So as long as you have a * beside the triangle, the record is not insert. To insert, move one line up and down and then hit F8.

The other option is to change add onaftervalidate trigger of "No." field to insert the record if it is not insert yet.

F8 simply does not work with secondary Dimensions. I called it a "mirage" - it seems that dimensions are populated when in fact they are not! A clear bug, you have to enter them manually.
