Vat Posting Gruoup

Good day

I am very new to navision. Can anybody tell the vat posting group in setups. I am using sp3 nav India localisation. it will be helpful to set up india vat.

in Vat Setup there are two main thing.
1, VAT Business Posting Group.
2, VAT Product Posting Group.

Vat Business Posting Group is attached with Vendor and customer. check it in invoicing Tab of both card.

VAT Product Posting group is attached with an item. Check it in Item Card,


when you create sales order or purchase order there are two thing in header part vendor or customer and item contains in line part. so, you will have vat business posting group and product posting group at line part.

now, when u open vat setup there will be combination of Vat business posting group and product posting group. here you will have to define a combination if vat is applicable on particular sales or purchase order via structure.

Hi, dear

As per Indian Vat, set up is possible only from sales Tax Setup.
Please do not use VAT Setup, Because Vat Setup is not fit as per Indian Tax.
