manipulation of Search name functionality

Hi all,


I was wondering if the Search Name functionality in Navision can be changed?

Instead of getting item on part of the Search description (eg. on validate the Search Name on field No. of Orderline), I only want Navision to respond the Item No. based on whole field.

The "part text search" functionality is basic functionality coded in the Client itself. You cannot change that through code. You can only disable the Alternative search fields property of the table to not search through the Search Name. But still it will take the part of the fields and will try to find first record which fits that...

I have seen some modifications from Qurius (Holland) Where on validate of No. on Lines you got a list of items that matched the entry. Behind there was a whole setup where you could manage the search method (different fields with different matches).

Can't remember if it was an add-on, or functionality within Qpharma, but it was rather nice.
