Hi,

I did a backup of a company (in a database 3.60), then I did a restore of this company (in a database 3.70).
It seems everything ok.

I'd like knowing if there are other things to do before starting to use.
Could you help me?
Where can I find information about backup and restore?

thanks in advance
Alberto

Backup and restore are fine, nothing to do furthermore. You don't even have to do the backup/restore, because you can have the same result when you just open the database in a 3.70 client. It will ask you if you want to convert the the 3.60 to a 3.70. If you click "yes", you won't even be able to open the database in a 3.60.

Watch out. This isn't an upgrade! You just use the 3.70 C/SIDE on a 3.60 database. You don't have the functionalities of a 3.70 database!

DB for 3.60 and for 3.70 have same version no. There is no "Conversion" between 3.60 and 3.70. You can open 3.60 DB with 3.70 client and then open this DB witn 3.60 again. You are not able to connect 3.70 client to 3.60 server and 3.60 client to 3.70 server. 8)

You can design 3.60 DB with 3.70 client without any "technical upgrade" and use this db with 3.60 clients (if you dont use new functions in 3.70)

    Hi.

Keep in mind, Navision 3.60 application is full of bugs :( and Navision 3.70 should :? correct these bugs (but there ale few new bugs added). Some of these corrections are important. I think, better way than restoring 3.60 DB in 3.70 is upgrade/merge your 3.60 DB in 3.70 DB due corrections of 3.60 bugs...
