Importing inventory from excel in AX4

I have created an import definition file to import into the inventory counting journal. I have it working in that I can import into the journal, and all the lines look correct, they have the correct items, quantities and cost on them etc and when comparing against similar lines that I have manually entered into the journal, by looking directly at the InventJournaTrans table they all look fine.

The journal validates fine but I am getting the following error message when trying to post.

Cannot recieve quantity 10.00 because stock transactions with status Ordered, Arrived or Registered are insufficient.

Any ideas?

Hi Mark,
Your problem is that when you create lines in a counting journal manually you also create inventory transactions - the Excel import doesn't do that , and I've not found a way to make it do that. If you want to import inventory journals from Excel look at Atlas XL from Globe software or be prepared to do some customisation.
