Warranty dates for items not tracked by SN

Hi experts,
Am new to Navision and trying to understand a minimum of its features.
I have a question concerning Item tracking :
How to keep track of Warranties for Items that aren't tracked by Serial Numbers nor by lots number
(When disabling serial numbers on Item tracking code, no tracking lines are required when posting a Sales Order for example and thus no Warranty dates are calculated)

Of course, because how do you want to track them, if you do not have specific information which one you want to sell/transfer etc.?

How can NAV know, which warranty date you want to process if you do not have ser. no/lot no.?
