EP: delete or unselect a look up selection?

Hi

We're using Nav 4 SP1 and EP, on WSS 2.0, for users to create purchase quotes and for their managers to authorise them.

Is there a way for a user to delete or un-select a code they selected from a look up (in this case, a global dimension)? At the moment they can either select another code within the look up; or they can delete the entire purchase line and start again.

I know I could create another web part page without the particular dimension showing, so people who should not fill in that one could not. But I do not want to segregate the users and pages anymore than I already have; and also this capability, if possible, will enable managers to correct mistakes.

If I unerstand correct your problem try to change apperance field on request card in NAV:

Editable (Indirect) - you can't delete
but
Editable - could be removed on backspace or delete keyboard button.
