How to Increment number series in the middle
eg: PO-0001-08-09 ( 08-09 is year)
My client requirement is such that year should succeed the Number series, is there any way of incrementing the number inbetween?

Incrementing the number in between is not possible.
The easiest way is to define one number serie per year. You have define a Starting Date for each no. serie.

Incrementing the number between is not possible.
It is not possible by default. However, we are all using navision because of its capabilities to customize, right?
What if add a custom field “suffix” in No. Series Line table, which would be added to document number when creating a document? I think it would not require heavy changes, just minor customization.Tomas,

That's right. Navision can be easy to modify. But why modify if you can achieve it by adding a couple of lines data?
A extra tip is to add a couple of no. series lines for a couple of years and don't fill a Starting Number in the last line. When the last line will become active, you'll receive a messge "You must specify Starting No. in No. Series Line Series Code='ITEM',Line No.='x0000'."

Hey Friends,
Thanks for your reply. Hope it would help me to solve atleast as of now.0 -
The suffix is the better idea that was suggested on my opinion... you can also just create the series for the PO-xxxxx number and just modify the table code (purchase header) to add the month/year information after receiving the no.0
