MBS 3.7 - Importing data with German umlauts

Hello everybody!
I have problems importing Data because of German umlauts (äöü) in a certain Field ('Suchbegriff' == 'Searchpattern(?)'). The errormessage I get is in German, that's why the translation might not be correct. German: "Die Tabelle ... enthält in einem Codefeld einen Wert, der nicht mit Microsoft Business Solutions Navision verwendet werden kann" ~ "Table ... contains a value in a codefield which cannot be used with MBS". The errormessage continues showing me the the values which cause the problems (at least I suppose this). But instead of listing the words with the correct umlaut-letter, it shows a strange sign - that's why I suppose the umlaut to be the problem.
Unfortunately I cannot change the letters to non-umlaut. Any suggestions how to solve the problem?
I use MBS Navision 3.7 and the MS SQL Server 2000 SP3.
TIA!

My be, that problem is, that dataport import data in DOS Codepage...
If you have data in Windows coding... :?
Try translate from windows to dos codepage (Win 1250 to codepage 852 for czech, my be same for Austria ... 8) ) there are some free tools for that...0 -
i remind that after opening a txt-file with word and save it again as pure txt using word the problem was solved ... maybe this is an alternative ?0
