Credit limit is the amount of credit extended to the customer.
Overdue balance is the amount of money owned by the customer that has gone over it's due date. The due date is calculated at posting by using the due date calculation field from the associated payment terms.
The warnings for these are controlled in the Sales & Receivables Setup screen.
The system has an inbuild context sensitive help called "What's this". You can access this through the help menu, Shift+F1 or the blue :?: in the corner of the screen.
The first click builds the help file and after that when you click on it you will get a black question mark which you click on the field you what help on.
The system will display a screen with the balance information in the transaction you are in and prompt you if you want to continue. There is no work flow i.e. the system will not put the customer on stop, etc.

When does it happen that customer has crossed credit limit and overdue balance is also exceeding a limit?
Can you give one wonderful example in NAV terms?
