Warehouse Put-Away

I have client with a Location setup with Req. Receive, Req. Put and Bin Mandatory. We are have created a PO for an Item using an alternate (not base) UOM. After creating and posting the Warehouse Receipt, we go to the Warehouse Putaway and try to register the Put-away. But we get an error message stating that "Bin Content does not exist" for that Item, Location, Bin for the alternate UOM. I have spent many hours reading code, setting up a duplicate location in Cronus only to find that I cannot do it in there either.

Are there any required setup parameters that need to be done in order to register a Putaway in a different UOM than the Base?

Does "Directed Pick and Putaway" need to be enabled for this? Can it be done without it?

Is your stock unit on item level configured properly?
Have you tried creating the bin content manualy and then tried to post?
