How to link an offer to the schedule cost

I must be missing an essential step somewhere. I am trying to work out how to do the typical process of

offer -> offer accepted -> create job -> import details of offer into job predicted costs

All the training materials start with a job and then add job planning lines. Starting with a job doesn't make any sense and it also doesn't seem to be possible to generate an offer from project lines.

Anyone done this before?

Unfortunatly NAV 5.0 doesn't work like the process you describe, :(

I'm right now in the process of creating a function that creates job task and planning lines based on the sales quote.
I've defined extra fields on the sales line which I use for grouping sales line to 1 job task line.

I'm constantly surprised by the odd things which seem like basic funcionality which shoudl exist and which doesn't.

I could understand if it was the other way around and functionality to convert a quote to task lines was not present - but who creates a project and then quotes for it? Everyone does the opposite.

Let me know if your module is near completion - it may be of interest.

    Thanks
