Virtual Date Table

Hello:

I am looking for reference to use virtual date table in addition to those in Application Designer Guide.

I am currently creating a report using this date table to group the Purch. Rcpt. Header to be grouped by month. I have users to input the "Period Start" and "Period End" from this table filter, but I can not access the filter to count the number of months between those two dates, in order to get the last date of each month.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Date table as the root dataitem, filter on period type = Month. Then add the Purchase Receipt Header as an indented dataitem, and link the date you are looking at as a link, and set the range between the start and end date of the Date records.
