Planning + Qty. On Hand

Hi...
when I replan a production order, it creates OPF for component lines regardless of whether or not I already have this item in stock. If I already have in stock, then I don't want to produce more if I don't have to. I hope N. already has a feature for this, but I can't find it!

    If I understood your question correctly....

    in "multi level production order" configuration, system will use "Order" as reordering policy for components. (it means that system does not check items on hand). so it will create sub prod. order lines in that production order.

    but, there is a solution for your case. in component item cards, set "Reserve" field to "Always" :) so, if components are on hand, system will first reserve items in inventory. then system will create sublevel producton orders at (if any) remaining quantity ...good and simple solution..
