Hi Priyan,
No standard feature available in AX 4.0 to convert fixed asset into inventory.
The possible work-around would be, Scrap the fixed asset and post an Inventory movement journal to effect inventory increase. But, you need to consider finance accounting implecations as well.VEERU

Hi veera,
Thank you very much...
I am using inventory to fixed asset journal to move an item in inventory in fixed asset.
this is what i am doing.
1.) Create a fa
2.)use inventory to fd journal in gl to increase fa value by acquistion of inventory item
Is this method correct?
another problem i am facing is that i need to create a FA manually and then acquire inventory item.. can this fa creation automated in ax
Thanks in advance0 -
