Looks to me like someone has gone gehind the scenes and deleted some item ledger entries where other entries requiring cost updates are linked.

I presume if you open the ILE the referenced number is not there.

So why were these deleted, who did it and can they fix the issue for you?

ok thanks Adam, that's clear now after we finding cause this problem that is a few number of posted sales credit memo (posting date April 2008)whose it still had outstanding since 2003-2004 and the condition document of sales return order is had posted Return Receive but never posting credit memo before. maybe you mean deleted some ledger entries that it happen while we have done running the periodic activities date compression of item ledger entries starting date 2002 until 2004 on the last year of 2007.

So can you tell me about the features could make deleted item ledger entries besides developer or superuser. Maybe it would be our protection for the future. thanks a lot.

I guess if you date compressed the item ledger entries and these contained open entries awaiting adjustment then yes this would cause you the issue. I am not aware of specific routines that would cause this, although if you open SQL and delete them then this is obviously one way!
