Dear all experts,
I have installed NAV 5.00 SP1 W1 + Outlook Integration.

Below is the spec.:
============
OS : Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition With SP2
DB: SQL Server 2000 With SP4
Outlook
After i have installed the outlook add-in, i tried to launch the Outlook Synch. Entries and Outlook Synch. User Setup from Administration -> Application Setup -> Microsoft Office Outlook Integration, i facing error below:

This message is for C/AL programmers This Automation variable has not been instantiated. You can instantiate it by either creating or assigning it.

Is it this a bug for NAV5.00 SP1 W1?

    Could be a bug..

I'm now downloading the SP1 for the Netherlands, so in a couple of hours I know if I'm receiving the same error...

    Hi tinoruijs,
    Thanks for your reply.

Anyway, anyone has solved this error before?

I recently encountered the same error message when trying to configure the Outlook synchronization feature with NAV 5.0 and Outlook 2003. After checking the database objects, I found that Codeunit #5306 was not compiled. After compiling the Codeunit (select the item in the Object Designer and press F11), and then following the instructions in Knowledge Base Article No. 939031, the error went away and the synchronization worked after rebooting everything.

The codeunit 5306 is compiled in version 5.00 SP1 W1.

    Hi tinoruijs,
Do you check on Codeunit 5306 whether have different between W1 and NL version?

    Thank you.

I checked. No difference except the text constants, but that's obvious.

I had never encountered this problem, but I know that 5.0 is totally scrapped for the Outlook integration, one of the reason to come out SP1 is to solve the Outlook Integration bugs in 5.0.. so, no need to try again in the 5.0. Besides, do you tried suggestion of "rfontaine" ? The msg shown sounds like the object was not being instantiated, worth to try the suggestion of "rfontaine".
