Help trying to restore database!

Nav 4.0.
Trying to restore a database for a test company and getting an error message:
You cannot delete or change the type of the User ID field (in the Salesperson/Purchaser table) before the value in the field is reduced to 0 (zero) or "(blank)" in all records. This message occurred because a nonzero value was found for the record Code='BCC' in company Company 1.
BCC are the initials of a salesperson and Company 1 is the name of one of our companies.
The restore will load companies but no data. Don't know what the problem is and how to correct it.

Seems if you are using 4.0 SP1, you should not try to load 4.0 and try to toss the database in the wrong version!
Went out for a ride on my bike, came back and deleted the wrong software, loaded the correct software and everything seems to work fine.
