How to change item prices after quantity....

Mike1Mike1 Member Posts: 78
Hello,

A customer of mine has posted a lot of item ledger entries. Unfortunately, they only posted the quantity, not the value.

As a result of that, when they try to run an Inventory Valuation List, the opening values are all € 0,-, even though they do have quantity in stock.

What do I have to do to make the opening values appear in the Inventory Valuation List, or is this simple impossible to do, because then you should have to change posted item entries?

Regards,

Mike

A Revaluation Journal can be used for changing the inventory value of items.

    Hi Ian,

Tried that already. At first it seems to work, but somehow it posts al item entries with a value € 0.

You may need to run Adjust Cost - Item Entries

So you load a revaluation journal, you alter teh cost and post the differences and you say it is posting this as zero? Can you go to the registers and track the values through and see what is being posted where - is it posting 0 after you alter the cost to adjust by x? Any modifications to the costing?

    The answer is quite simple.

Make sure that on your Item card the checkbox "Inventory Value Zero" is empty....... ](*,)
